“Over the next several months, I’ll be meeting many more candidates in the 2012 election. I can only hope they are all cut from the same cloth as Scott Drury.”
Ed Brill – Patch Columnist“The general consensus was that Scott was an outstanding example of how we want our Government represented.”

Illinois has a lot of problems — unbalanced budgets, a backlog of unpaid bills and a reputation for being one of the most corrupt states in the country — to name a few. People throughout our district are fed up with this.
During my 7.5 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, I learned from Patrick Fitzgerald that when you see a problem, you can either stand up and do something about it or be part of the problem. By running for State Representative, I have chosen to stand up and do something about Illinois’ problems.
Having grown up in our great community and having chosen to raise my family here, I have a deep understanding of our community’s values and independent nature. As your State Representative and someone who shares your values, I will serve your interests, not special interests.
My priorities will reflect the needs of our district. I will work to rein in government spending and implement more fiscally responsible state budgets, support business-friendly policies that help employers create and retain jobs in Illinois, implement tough anti-corruption laws, and ensure local schools remain among the best in the state.
Please help bring an independent voice to Springfield by electing me as the next Representative of Illinois’ 58th District.
